Mediterranean Diet Forum 2013
In 2011 Imperia Chamber of Commerce, the Special Agency "PromImperia", the Italian Association for Olive Oil Towns and the International Olive Council have developed the Mediterranean Diet Forum project, whoseI ^ edition have been held on May 6-7 and November 17-19, 2011 with a strong impact in terms of echo and number of participants. In 2012 (November 15-17) took place the second edition, with the aim to promote the positive effects of adopting healthy dietary patterns and employing olive oil and other ingredients of the Mediterranean Diet among theyoung generations at international level.
With the just concluded third edition, on November 14- 15 -16, 2013, it has been totally achieved the purpose of setting an event of international extent on the subjects of
Mediterranean culture, food education and olive grove landscape.
The event has been heldin a unique session on November 14, 15 and 16, 2013, giving the opportunity, once again, to delegates from different countries to meet together in

Liguria "The Sea of the Alps" and the FLAG of Spain "Litoral Costa del Ebre"
of the cooperation project between Italian Flag (Fisheries Local Action Groups)
"Il Mare delle Alpi" and Spanish Flag "Costa del Ebre"
Some foreign and national sector representatives and experts from public bodies will be appointed by local managers and fishermen representatives, by consumers and trade
associations to bring their suggestions and examples on their respective
countries markets opportunities.
15, morning ENPI MedDiet PROJECT: "Mediterranean Diet and enhancement of the traditional products".
The Mediterranean countries and all other categories targeted by ENPI MedDiet project: first of all students, but also consumers in general, enterprises, political
institutions of the whole Mediterranean area. The ENPI MedDiet is a project of
UE partnership which foresees as its main objective the transmission of
Mediterranean Diet extraordinary richness and variety and the enhancement of
traditional food production to consumers not only of the 6 partner countries (Italy,
Greece, Spain, Tunisia, Lebanon, Egypt), but also other people inside and
outside the Mediterranean basin.
15, afternoon "Mediterranean Diet: a journey towards the future".
A very important partner to this initiative will be the Italian Ministry for Instruction, University and Research, with its Food and School Committee, involved in a general campaign at National level and now starting the coordination of a food education pilot
project, that from Italy may involve other nations from Mediterranean area to
be presented internationally within Expo 2015 contest in order to gain major
visibility. The expo is waiting for 20 millions of total estimated visitors, of
which 6 millions of foreign visitors; it's a big opportunity to speak about

Mediterranean Network of Olive Oil Towns General Assembly and Forum
Re.C.O.Med is the Network of Mediterranean Olive Oil towns that involve Albania, Croatia,
Greece, Italy, Israel, Lebanon, Morocco, Montenegro, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain,
Tunisia, Turkey. The main aims are contribute to the promotion and growth of
the olive patrimony and oil production and enhance the value of Culture and
Science, human and promotional aspects of the olive, furthermore develop
tourism for the future, in relation to the Mediterranean culture of the olive. In
this second year of activity concrete actions should be started, among them the
creation of a network website, along with the continuation of the Olive
Mediterranean Landscape's nomination with the official presentation to the
international UNESCO chair in Paris, after the subscription of all Ministries
of Agriculture belonging to the 13 submitting countries to be concluded just in

into the closing works of Mediterranean Diet Forum III edition, that will focus
