  FISH PRODUCTS

The Ligurian Sea is rich in tasty, delicious oily fish, whose nutritional properties are outstanding, not to mention indispensable for a healthy, balanced diet. And of course there are the famous red Sanremo prawns, caught exclusively off the coast of Imperia.

Oily fish: includes species of different dimensions, length, longevity and natural history, but all with oily tissue and a bluish dorsal side (anchovies, sardines, Mediterranean sand eels, horse mackerel, mackerel, tuna, swordfish etc).
Typical local preparations include anchovies preserved in salt and marinated picarel.


Sanremo prawn: Prized red prawn, perfect even when simply boiled, drizzled with Taggiasca extra-virgin olive oil and a little lemon, so as not to mask its flavour.
