What are the Supply Chain Agreements?

They are business partnership agreements for the enhancement of local products.

Who are they aimed at?

Producers, restaurants, town and city shops as well as mass retail chains that consider local areas in their sales network.

How did they come about?

The Supply chain agreements are the local expression of the cooperation project “Enhancing tourism, food and wine in the Ligurian hinterland”. The project is led by the “La Spezia” Local Action Group (GAL), with all Action Groups in Liguria as partners. It is organised by the Imperia Chamber of Commerce (which steers the “Riviera dei Fiori” GAL) and is implemented by the Azienda Speciale PromImperia.

How do they actually work?

The Supply Chain agreements consist of a preliminary loyalty agreement between local producers and restaurateurs, which is followed by an increase in market terms. Producers are guaranteed visibility among end consumers by restaurants. The restaurant, instead, becomes a place where certain products can be found, an exclusive place with a strong local identity.

Who can sign up?

Producers, restaurants, town and city shops as well as mass retail chains that consider local areas in their sales network.

Why sign up?

To spread the culture of identifiable products, both through sales networks as well as food publications.

Who has already signed up?

38 restaurants, 51 producers and 1 retailer have already signed up.

Why?

To promote the work of our companies, our outstanding products and services (raw materials, traditional food) and to enhance our production and cultural heritage, thus contributing to the protection of our beautiful land.
